Position Overview

Leads the execution of the analytics required to meet the needs of the marketing organization.  Prepares and maintains marketing databases.  Designs and generates marketing performance reports to support the direct marketing strategy formulations.  Develops processes to monitor direct marketing campaign results.


  • Manages, analyzes, executes and monitors marketing campaign (direct mail & digital) performance data in support of enterprise marketing strategy formulation(s).
  • Manages the marketing campaign data collection and documentation processes. Identifies new data sources to enhance database marketing and analytic capabilities.
  • Performs data extraction and integration to build out brand data repository in support of marketing analyses.
  • Creates complex analyses and interprets report results; acts as subject matter expert (SME) to provide data-driven explanations and recommendations to leadership that resolve business issues.
  • Automates and manages nationwide reporting processes including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and marketing dashboard for both online and offline marketing.
  • Ensures alignment of systems, projects, processes, teams and external resources through collaboration with management and internal and external business partners to support ongoing marketing programs.
  • Forecasts, monitors and plans sales performance for call center staffing and revenue planning for digital and direct marketing activities.
  • Manages relationship and projects with multiple outside data, creative, list purchasing and operations vendors.
  • Support implementation and ongoing needs for marketing automation & campaign platforms and tools
  • Performs ad hoc business projects as needed

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative or business field and 2-4 years of progressive experience in marketing analytics or an equivalent combination of education and experience required (Math, Statistics, Marketing or Financial reporting)
  • Programming and database skills required – SQL or SAS
  • Prior experience integrating large datasets and auditing data quality
  • Experience developing & distributing reports for senior leadership
  • Familiarity with Experian Campaign Element Database

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to demonstrate technical and professional knowledge and skills
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail oriented, highly motivated with strong work ethic and quality orientation
  • Understanding of marketing functions and technologies
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with at least one database, ideally SQL server
  • Knowledge of common reporting tools such as Cognos and Tableau
  • Strong knowledge of data analytic techniques
  • Good conceptualizing and implementing skills
  • Ability to translate & communicate highly technical analysis for non-technical audience
  • Leadership and project management skills
  • Relationship building with vendors and internal stakeholders
