Position Overview

Deliver strategic, IT solutions to the businesses around the company’s business intelligence and data warehouse vision including executing business plans and developing processes to ensure the quality, performance, and standardization in the development and management of systems and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

1.    Implements the performance management strategies and road maps for the company to ensure successful implementation and on-going support

2.    Leads Executive BI Steering Committee for senior management presenting program updates and key deliverables 

3.    Develops, communicates, and executes a vision for meeting stakeholders’ needs which identifies and creates distinctive competitive advantages for the company through the strategic use of information

4.    Coordinates the efforts between the business and the IT organization to deliver solutions that support all levels of management as well as ensure the quality, performance and standardization in the development and management of reporting tools 

5.    Leads, manages, coaches and mentors the resources of the business intelligence group to execute business plans and develop processes designed to achieve the company’s business intelligence vision

6.    Streamlines reporting activities across the business and drive the future reporting landscape

7.    Educates IT and the business executives on appropriate business intelligence strategies and approaches, as well as provides oversight regarding execution of reporting and analytic requirements of the business

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Master’s Degree preferred
  • 8-10 years experience of architecture, design and implementation of enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence solutions required
  • 2+ years of supervisory/management experience required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of data warehousing operations and strategies
  • Advanced knowledge of business intelligence software and tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlikview, Microsoft SSRS)
  • Executive presence, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills, including developing and delivering formal presentations
  • Organizational, project and process management and leadership skills
  • Business process analysis skills
  • Attention to detail and quantitative analytical skills
  • Ability to foster collaboration
  • Advanced planning and project management skills
  • Leadership and management skills to coach and develop a team of professionals
