Position Overview
Leads the design, writing, development, and maintenance of instructor-led and e-learning content and support materials. Evaluates new and existing programs. Manages the development cycle for projects including needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Coaches and mentors others.

1. Leads the design, writing, development, and maintenance of instructor led training (ILT) and e-learning courses/tutorials, webinars, user guides, quick reference guides, job aids, policies, procedures, and other learning and support materials for business initiatives
2. Evaluates and designs new and existing training curricula and programs.
3. Manages and executes the development cycle for new and cyclical projects including needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation; may initiate the identification and development of new projects
4. Manages relationships with business partners and organizations to facilitate program development, needs analysis, design and implementation of advanced and custom learning programs (e.g., supervisory skills, conflict resolution, process improvement)
5. Contributes to the development and maintenance of training and development policies and procedures to ensure alignment of initiatives with business goals and objectives
6. Coaches and mentors others in instructional design and technology
7. Recommends media for delivery such as instructor led training, e-learning, combination or other media taking into account audience and business needs
8. May travel as needed for meetings and/or to facilitate needs analysis, training, and/or evaluate programs

Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of instructional design and development experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Master’s degree preferred
• Experience with training methodologies, instructional design systems and processes required
• Experience with multimedia development software (e.g., Adobe tools, Articulate) and/or other simulation software required
• Experience recording and editing audio required
• Project management experience required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge of instructional design principles and theories (e.g., adult learning theory, organizational development, Kirkpatrick model of evaluation, Bloom’s taxonomy, etc.)
• Knowledge and skill with multimedia development software (e.g., Adobe tools, Articulate) and other simulation software
• Knowledge of current and emerging learning technologies
• Knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) applications
• Training and group facilitation skills and abilities
• Verbal and written communication skills, including presentations and influencing
• Analytical skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge and skill to organize, plan, manage, execute and evaluate projects
• Video production skills include producing, directing, scriptwriting and editing
• Knowledge of LMS, SCORM, Web-Based Training (WBT)
• Knowledge of online teaching and learning methods
• Knowledge of producing online Assessment tools (e.g., Articulate)
