Position Overview

Conducts complex financial and operational analyses of TruGreen activities to support Procurement strategic sourcing efforts. Supports the Category Managers and Directors for all program related needs, issues and initiatives for the categories assigned.


Responsibilities

  • Develops reports on all risks and financial indicators including e.g. overpayment/ over expenditure, etc. according to required standard performance metrics
  • Develops and executes short and long-term category management strategies for complex categories
  • Works with Category Managers to align strategy with stakeholders based on business needs and market intelligence
  • Performs analysis of financial and operating information including: spend, total cost of ownership, and trend analysis
  • Performs analysis, reporting and forecasting on market and commodity conditions including supplier profiles and cost structures
  • Manages the cost savings reporting process including: data collection, analysis, reporting, review, and validation
  • Develops and publishes market reporting and forecasting to support sourcing direction and initiatives
  • Participates in special projects as identified by manager (including but not limited to negotiating, sourcing, contracting, cost modeling, project management)

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required and 2 years of experience in category management/strategic sourcing and pricing required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 years of supplier relationship development and Industry experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills with ability to collect and correlate information and data
  • Ability to build customer relationships and provide customer service
  • Knowledge of company products and services
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated with ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Mathematical skill to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, proportions, percentages, area and volume
  • Time management skills, including punctuality for on-time attendance
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple tasks
